  1. I have a lot of comics. No really, a lot of comics. As in, I used to be a comic shop owner, and need an extra room in my house just for my comics. As a good comic book owner, I get excessive pleasure out of putting them in little plastic bags and backing boards. I love seeing all my comics nicely cared for and filed away in comic boxes. In fact, I love this so much I have been on a mission to re-bag my collection, some of which have been yellowing away in their old plastic bags for multiple decades.Re-bagging an entire collection is an expensive proposition, one made much easier and much affordable by finding this „200 Current Size Comic Book Bags and Boards Combo.“ They fit modern size comics, so if you have any Silver of Gold you will need something else. The bags and boards are great, as high a quality as anything else I have bought before, and the price is unbeatable.

  3. I’ll sum up at the start for people who don’t want to ready my whole review: These bags and boards were perfect.I don’t read a lot of comics in general but I read the canonical comic followups to the Buffy and Angel series. I pick them up from my local comic book store every few months so I can read them a few at a time. Last year I kept buying them when I didn’t have time to read them, and then by the time I did I couldn’t remember where I put them! As a result, I was missing a few issues and was falling far behind in Buffy Season 9 and Angel & Faith. I mentioned this to the guys at my local shop and they sold me a short box to store them in so I would stop losing them. When I got home, I hunted all over the house and tracked down almost all of the issues–they still barely filled the box even halfway! Because of this they kept falling and bending and I realized I better get some bags and boards to keep them from getting damaged. I know they sell those at my local shop as well, but I needed a lot and I was worried it could get pricey. So I did what I always day and scoped things out on Amazon!I put everything together last night, and these did the job perfectly. People saying their comics don’t fit are not reading the „Current“ part of „Current Comic Book Bags and Boards.“ People saying the boards didn’t fit in the bags must have gotten a bad batch because mine were all just right. The boards have a dull side and a slick, shiny side. I don’t know if there is a standard way to keep them, but I put them in shiny side up figuring the comics might slide in and out easier that way. My back hurts a bit today from being hunched over stuffing all the bags, but now I feel that my comics are finally safe from being bent and lost. And for less than twenty cents per bag/board!I highly recommend these, and I will definitely be purchasing more.

  4. I bought two sets of these to organize my sewing fabric stash, and they work wonderfully. I had a fairly organized collection of fabric before, but the amount of ironing I needed to do to get the random wrinkles out before sewing was wearing me out. I am also limited on space for storing, and found that I was buying fabric that I already owned, or very close to what I already owned, because I couldn’t see what I had. YouTube has great videos out there for how to fold your fabric onto the board depending on the length. I have fit everything from a fat quarter to 3 yards of fabric with no issue or compromise to the finished „mini bolt“ uniformity. I have to double up the boards if I want to fold more than 3 yards- I have done up to five yards with two boards together. After folding all the fabric in my stash, I got so excited that I actually cataloged all of it by taking a photo with my phone and storing it in an app I bought so I have a digital photo database with me when I go to the fabric store that reminds me all of the fabric’s details including what it’s made of, where I bought it, what I paid, and how much I have. Sounds super nerdy, but it really renewed my excitement about sewing. I have also read blogs where women will store their vintage patterns on a comic book board, then in a comic book clear plastic bag and file it in an ikea storage box, which lends itself to cataloging your pattern stash in a database again…. I digress. Organization is great- and these boards help a lot.

  5. Good price for 200 bags and boards (.17 cents per bag/board) which is cheaper than my local shops by far. I had no defective bags with the lot. These fit all my current size comics just fine. Will buy again if/when the need arises.

  6. Products as described, perfect fit. Only problem is that about 10 or so (a few on the top and some on the bottom) were folded and creased in the packaging, definitely accidental by whoever packaged them in the plastic wrapper. Still usable but not nice to look as.

  7. I have NO idea what these reviews are talking about. These are perfect and a great deal. I fit an entire trade in one, just because I was curious about all the people saying their comics wouldn’t fit. Nonsense. If I can fit a trade into one of these with a board (don’t store your trades in bags and boards btw…), then single issues should have NO problem.

  9. My husband is a comic book connoisseur and is quite anal about them so he bags and boards ALL of them before storing them away in a locked file cabinet (because I can’t be trusted to touch them apparently lol). He will only use these specific boards because they are the „best quality“, very reasonably priced, fit current issue comics perfectly, and do a great job preserving them. He’s had comics stored away for years using the boards and there is no discoloration or wrinkling/bending of the pages (gasp- heaven forbid)! Overall, these are the only boards my husband trusts and uses so if they’re good enough for his precious collection- they should be good enough for you!

  10. This is crazy. I really needed these covers for my comics. I don’t have a mass amount but what I have I want protected. Comics, for the most part come in very generic dimensions. These covers that I just bought are useless. They are simply a half inch too small. Now I have 100 useless bags. Sure, they will say send them back, but this will cost more money and more time. Why not just send me a decent product and be done with it? Stupid!

  11. I purchased these to wrap and organize my fabric for ease of viewing and using. Excellent for the job. Acid Free so your fabric is safe, thin yet sturdy enough to hold yards of folded fabric nicely. Organization at its best. I picked this size board and designed the fabric cupboards to fit the comic board size so I could get the maximum space for my fabric. You can purchase Comic boards in different sizes, you can also purchase Magazine boards which are even larger.

  12. These bags and boards are a great buy for its price point. Almost $16 (at the time of this review) with free Prime shipping for 100 bags and boards? Sign me up! My family has two moderate comic book collectors which means buying in singles or small batches isn’t very efficient and, unfortunately, spending near $40 at my local comic book shop for the same amount of bags/boards makes my wallet weep (on top of all the comics we buy).Overall, they did the job. The bags are decently made (although the plastic is kinda „cheap“ feeling) but you can tell that some of these bags have defects from production with some fitting the boards smoothly while others require a bit more careful force to put the board in the bag. A couple of the boards also had bends/curling on the edges which made it kinda awkward to use them but they were still useable. Since some people mentioned being shorted bags/boards, I decided to manually count each but thankfully, I was not shorted any bags or boards. No regrets on this purchase so far and I am willing to buy them again even with all the minor nitpicks.

  13. Exactly as expected. The bags and boards arrive packaged together. It can be a little difficult fitting thicker volumes in the bags but they are crisp and clean and very nice. Especially for the price. The bags don’t have any real way to seal, but can easily be folded. Would definitely recommend, just for the quality and quantity.

  14. Bad review last time I checked modern and silver age were different sizes. So when I put in an order for modern and receive silver I feel a bit taken advantage of so two thumbs down. I’d give it more thumbs down bit I’m using any extra I might of had to write this right now.

  15. The 1st pack was fine and was not damaged. The second pack had spilled out of its plastic and into the box. The plastic is wrinkled and bent and some of the adhesive came off and was sticking to each other

  16. PROS:1) They are very clear, but most poly bags achieve this, so it’s just expected.2) The price is low for the amount you can getCONS:1) Way too narrow. A modern/current bag should not hug a comic like these do. There should be a buffer zone on the sides and these do not have that buffer zone. The bag should only hug the board not the book. The boards should be wider than the comics.2) Inconsistent seams, especially at the bottom corners. So much for „precision cutting“. Far too often after bagging a comic I will notice the back of the bag has a sort of ridge at a 45-degree angle stretching from one of the bottom corners up towards the center of the bag. The tighter the fit the more pronounced this inconsistency becomes. When I see that I will un-bag, throw out the defective bag, and try another. I do not use sub-par bags. I throw out about 15% of these bags.CONCLUSION:I don’t know if I got a bad batch. If I did, it says something about quality control. But I remember buying these bags about 5 years ago and having the same complains. I don’t know if they do this, but if it were my bag company, I would be regularly spot-checking the quality, pulling bags at random and testing for quality. My guess is that they are aware of this but it can’t be helped or they’d have to redesign which would be costly for them.

  17. I guess it’s a common problem. The bags are too small, or of inconsistent size. The last 100 bcw current bags and boards I bought seemed tight but I used them. These are unusable. I had a leftover bag of bcw current bags with no boards (go figure) from some time ago and tried them with a few of the boards from this order and they were fine. I could stuff a big fat annual in there no problem. You could see the new bags were smaller. They’re cheap, easy to return. But I’m gonna try a different brand. I think I might go back to my old routine of buying bags one size larger than my books from now on as well.

  18. EDIT: They sent me tampered with bags. Everything seemed sealed, but there are bags with marker lines and holes in them. What a waste. Someone had the time to mark the ruined bags, but not replace them. Cool.Well, I like the product. There isn’t much to hate on, other than they sent me the wrong size. Instead of 6 and 3/4″ wide, they sent 6 and 7/8″ wide. Not too big of a deal, but I cannot give 5 stars because I received the wrong bag size, but the proper board size.
